![]() Pulaski, New YorkĪrlene Nellie Stevens Davey Joss, age 86, resident of Pulaski, formerly of Altmar, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday at St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Arlene's memory to the United Friends of Homeless Animals, 432 Centerville Rd., Richland, NY 13144 or All Creatures Big and Small, PO Box 373, Lacona, NY 13083. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. The family of Arlene would like to extend a special thank you to her home health aides, Anita Rudd, Becky Brown, Pat Gibbs, Noelle Lennox, Jessie Joss Kling, Hannah Behling and Julie Joss. Arlene was predeceased by her four siblings and her beloved cats, Lucky, Patches, Dusty, Teddy and her dog Princess. Surviving are one son, Raymond Daniel Davey of Altmar, one sister, Florence “Flo” Dickerson of Groton, NY, her brother, William “Bill” Stevens of Manlius, her Stevens family, her Tobin family, her Davey Family, her Joss family and her church family. Arlene cherished her time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She attended Pulaski’s gym, Ontario Health & Fitness for many years and stayed active in her later years doing physical therapy. She was an animal lover and was happiest with a cat on her lap. Arlene enjoyed feeding and watching her birds and planting her gardens. Arlene was known to send greeting cards and notes to everyone, for all occasions, up until her passing. ![]() She loved to watch her daily soap operas and game shows. Arlene attended the Vorea Community Church, the Pulaski Wesleyan Church and, most recently, the Fellowship Baptist Church in Colosse. On OctoArlene was remarried to Edison Charles Joss and he passed away June 14, 2012. Together they were self-employed dairy farmers that raised Jersey cows for 36 years until his passing on April 18, 1993. Arlene was married to Lloyd Raymond Davey on June 1, 1958. She previously worked for Syracuse Supply and Carrier Corp. Arlene attended school in Syracuse and graduated from Blodgette Vocational School. She was raised by her mother’s sister, Mildred Fisher Tobin. Her parents were killed Jin an automobile accident by a drunk driver. (Pete), Bruce, Bernice, Florence, William and Greta. She was born Augin Syracuse, the daughter of Leon and Clara Belle Fisher Stevens.
